Our God is an Awesome God!

Thank you everyone for your prayers. This will be the last update on the blog.

Caymen is doing really well. He still hurts on his left side and his right arm. He can't ride a bike yet. However, he is ready to go and gets frustrated when he can't always do everything yet.

Caymen will go to church the first time this coming Sunday. We are very excited about this! We are praying and anticipating a full recovery! We serve an awesome and might God!

Thank you everyone for all of your prayers, support, love, gifts, and words of encouragement.

The Road to Complete Restoration

Caymen is at home and continuing to recover. His personality is back! His body is not responding as quickly as Caymen would like it too. The doctor has restricted activities such as swimming, bike riding, etc. for a significant period of time. Please continue to pray for his complete healing.

Thank you everyone for all your prayers, cards, gifts, words of encouragement and everything else!

Much Thanks!!!

Words cannot express our deep gratitude and thanks for everyone's prayers and concern during this challenging time! Caymen is now home and resting comfortably in a quiet environment. He will still need to recover from the head injury but is able to do so at the house.

Amazing things can happen when God's people come together corporately in prayer and fasting (Acts 12). We also want to express our deep appreciation to emergency medical personnel, the NC highway patrol, and the awesome doctors, nurses and staff of Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte. Thank you so much for everything.

Thank you for continuing to pray for a complete recovery both physically and emotionally.

Love,
Pastor Mark and Tiffany
Ariel, Ashton & Caymen

Home Sweet Home

Caymen had a bit of a rough night with sleeping and pain last night. This morning they have gotten him his pain medicine and he is beginning to feel better. He had physical therapy and was able to sit up, put on his socks, and was able to stand and walk. Our God is an awesome God!

They were able to take out his IV today. He had an x-ray on his neck to see if they can remove the neck brace.

He rode down to the cafeteria in the go kart with spiderman. Caymen got some lunch and then went back to his room. The doctor had Caymen walk down the hall. The doctor's evaluation and the x-ray results showed that Caymen will be released today and is COMING HOME!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!

God is a faithful and great God! Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

Friends + Mac & Cheese = Progress

This has been such an encouraging day! Caymen has become more alert and talkative, and he was very excited to see some of his friends. He has not slept as much today, which has been good. The barium test went well and showed his ability to swallow is good. He is cleared to eat whatever he wants. He enjoyed some macaroni and cheese today along with some sprite.

Caymen still needs to be able to get up and walk on his own. Also, during the trauma doctors examination he has to be able to tell them if he has any pain in his neck. If this clears ok, then they will be able to remove the neck brace. Please continue to pray that the neck brace will be removed as soon as possible.

Caymen has been receiving a different pain medication by mouth and a drug that reduces nausea. These both have seemed to help him.

We are grateful for the progress in the short amount of time. God has been so faithful to us! Thank you for all of your continued prayer for Caymen and the Ivey family. Visiting hours are limited so Caymen and the family can get adequate rest.

As a reminder please mention a word of prayer for Nobale and her family (one year old girl in ICU who was hit by a car). She is not doing well. Also, pray for the salvation of the family.

A Good Morning Start

Caymen slept well through the night and was able to get some much needed rest. Praise God! He had another CT scan this morning that came back normal. Today, physical and occupational therapy will evaluate his motor and movement skills. With the physical therapy they will try to get him to move and sit up with the ultimate goal of walking. Pray for great steps of progress to be made.

We are so excited and thanking God because Caymen ate some pudding with medicine in it. He will be having a barium swallow test to make sure that he can swallow properly. If everything looks good then he will be able to continue to eat on his own. Please continue to pray that he is able to swallow and will not have to get a feeding tube.

He continues to have pain in his head, but is the most awake he has been. He is currently watching the spiderman movie for a few minutes! Thank you for all your prayers during this time as we work through this process.

Please continue to pray for Ariel and Asthon, who were at home when the accident happened, and had to deal with the initial response. Thank you all so much for your prayers!

We must continue to stand on the word and promises of God.
Psalm 51:22 "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall."
1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

A Peaceful Night

Caymen has had an overall good day. He is now resting peacefully. Pray that he continues to sleep throughout the night, and that Pastor Mark and Tiffany also, have a chance to get some much needed rest. We are continuing to pray for a quick recovery and complete restoration.

Isaiah 53:5 "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed."
